Fives Vault is a free site about the game of Fives. Almost all of it works without telling us anything: no account, no sign-in, no tracking cookies. This page covers the places where information does reach us, and every one of them is something you chose to do.

Forms you choose to send

Two forms exist on the site: suggesting a court (on /courts) and registering interest in the Schools Programme (on /schools). When you submit one, we receive what you typed: typically your name, school or club, role, email address, and your message.

• Why we use it: to reply to you about the thing you asked about. Schools Programme submissions are also used to plan which teaching material we digitise first.
• Where it lives: submissions are processed and stored by Netlify (our hosting provider) and read by us. We don’t sell it or share it.
• How long: we keep submissions while they’re relevant to the enquiry, and delete them on request.

Schools Programme accounts

Two of the free lessons at /schools/lessons need no account at all. A third opens once you create an account and confirm your email address. That is the only part of this site with a sign-in, and it is optional.

• What we hold: your email address, your name, the school or club you gave, and which of the email topics below you ticked. If you set a password, we never see it: it goes straight to our sign-in provider, which stores only a one-way hash of it. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft instead, we receive your email address and name from them and nothing else.
• Why: to confirm the address is real, to open the lesson for you again when you come back, and to count how many teachers are genuinely using the material. That count is what decides how much of the rest of the programme gets built.
• Where it lives: accounts and the lesson itself are handled by Supabase, on servers in the EU. Confirmation emails are sent through Resend.
• How long: until you ask us to delete it. Email hello@fivesvault.com and we remove the account and everything attached to it, usually within a few days.

Email we send you

Creating an account does not put you on a mailing list. The sign-up form has four separate boxes, all of them off to begin with, and the lesson opens whether or not you tick any of them:

• New free lessons and teaching resources
• Schools Programme news, including when school access opens
• Events, festivals and fixtures
• Fives news more widely: the sport, the site, new Shot Vault entries

We aim for one email a month at most, and we only ever send you the topics you asked for. To stop them, or to change which ones you get, email hello@fivesvault.com. We don’t sell or share the list, and we don’t use it for anyone else’s advertising.

The minigame leaderboard

If you submit a score on /play, the name you type and your score, time and mode are sent to Supabase so the board can be shared with everyone else playing. That is public by design: pick a name you are happy for strangers to see. You don’t need an account to play, and if you never submit a score, nothing leaves your browser.

Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first service that counts page views without cookies and without identifying you personally. We can see that pages were visited, and that things like a sign-up were completed, but not who did either.

What your browser fetches and keeps

• Offline copies: after a visit, your browser keeps a copy of the main pages and their files so they open without a signal. The copy stays on your device and holds nothing about you. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it.
• Map tiles: the map on /courts loads its tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and the area of the map you are viewing.
• Fonts: our typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.

What we don’t do

• No tracking cookies, no advertising, and no data shared with advertisers.
• No account needed for anything except the one lesson described above.
• Your progress through lessons, films and the minigame is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
